How do I know if the tutor is right for me?
All our tutors offer a 30-minute trial session completely free of cost! After that, you can decide if you’d like to continue. You can also request a change of tutor at any point.
What is the refund policy?
For Private Lessons, we will refund 100% if you cancel your tutoring session more than 24 hours in advance. No refund will be given if you cancel less than 24 hours before the session or if you do not attend without notice.
How are tutoring lessons offered?
We have both online and in-person tutoring lessons and courses specific for VCE. However, we specialise in resources for online tutoring which provides all the benefits of in-person tutoring without that $10 travel fee.
What subjects does HZ Tutoring specialise in?
We specialise in VCE subjects such as English, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Maths, and Biology. Additional subjects may be available upon request.
How are tutoring sessions structured?
We offer both one-on-one and small group sessions, tailored to each student’s learning style and academic goals. We push students ahead, learning faster than school and teaching significantly more exam + study strategies and question-answering techniques.
Where is the tuition centre located?
Our centre is conveniently located in West Melbourne, providing a resource-rich environment for students. However, most of our lessons are online or our tutors will travel to you.

Yes, our tutors are highly qualified, with many being top VCE achievers in the state and experienced educators familiar with the VCAA curriculum. Our notes and practice exams are sent through a rigorous quality checking process to make sure it’s accurate and relevant to VCAA.
